Gordy has over 35 years of clinical and teaching experience in the Emergency Medical Services field. He has taught at colleges in Michigan, Florida, and Idaho where he designed and implemented the first public college-based paramedic program in the state’s history.
Dr. Kokx has served as a contributing author and reviewer for several EMS publications, conducted several EMS-related research studies, and has been frequent speaker at local, state, and national conferences. His professional achievements include Professor of Merit, Department Chair and Dean of Health Sciences and Human Services, and the distinguished College of Southern Idaho Teacher of the Year Award.
His award-winning doctoral dissertation explored program director leadership of paramedic education programs. Dr. Kokx currently serves as the Associate Director of the CoAEMSP where he has worked for the past 6 years.
