One of my core beliefs is that everyone should be given a fair opportunity to prove themselves. That’s why I love my job. As the Chief Science Officer for the National Registry of EMTs, I ensure that examinations are fair, reliable and valid, giving candidates an unbiased assessment of their knowledge, skills and abilities. My education includes a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University. Previously, I was the manager of Content Development at Pearson VUE where I developed and managed the process to adapt and translate the NCLEX (nursing certification) into Canadian French. I’ve also served as a tank commander in the United States Marine Corps and was a continuing lecturer in Statistics. I am married to Denise, a thoroughly lovely and engaging human being, and I have two wonderful adult children, August and Racine. Gigi the Wonder Cat entertains us at home.
